The only reason why you should be an IAS officer if you want to improve the lives of millions of Indians.

You see, fighting for 'Nationality' battles is easy and that's why most bored and unemployed people do it online.  But getting to the point where you can do something for your nation is taking Hard-Work!

And I know you can do that, so today I'm going to tell you everything you need to know about being an IAS officer.  So in today's Post, we will start with common sense.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. In short, IAS officials assist the governing government in revenue allocation, law enforcement and order, risk management, revenue collection, policy implementation, feedback etc.

If I had to compare them to Super-Hero, I'd say they're like… Spider-Man and Woman. They have great power but come with great responsibility.

Now, how can you become an IAS Officer?  

In that case you need to write a test called CSE. Civil Service Examination
At the end of the exam, you will receive a position and depending on that position, you will be assigned to IAS, IFS, IPS and 24 other subsidiary services.

In this section, we'll discuss what types of behaviors you should encounter to write that test.

There are 4 - how to become an ias officer after 12th

1. You need to have a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification at the time of application.

2. In IAS and IPS, you need to be a citizen of India.

3. Age limit is between 21 to 32 years and there are extensions in some cases as mentioned here.

4. The number of times you can attempt this GC test is 6, OBC is 9, Physical Resistance Resistance if 9 SC / ST is unlimited until they reach their Age-Limit.

No need for percentages. You just need to pass the exam. Final year students also can apply .

Now before I tell you about the exam syllabus

Here are three things you should know.  

1. CSE is created by UPSC. Public Service Commission.

2. Every year about 10 lakh people are put in, 5 Lakhs are written and 1000+ selected.

3. The CSE exam consists of 3 phases.

• The first phase is called Preliminary which takes place in June.  
• The second stage is called Mains and takes place in September or October.  
• The third category is the Interview with Mar or Apr.  

And the result comes in May ends. So as you can see, it's a year-long experiment!

Come to Syllabus - how to become an ias officer after graduation

Prelims will have 2 papers and both will be papers with multiple choices.

• The paper I will test you in the General Study which includes subjects like  History, Geography, Current-Affairs etc.  
• Paper II will test you accordingly  which includes insight, problem-solving skills, analytical ability etc.  

Both will be 200 marks each. After acquiring Prelims, you will write Mains. Mains is a written exam and there will be 9 papers.

Topics covered include Language, Technology, Indian Heritage, Security and Disaster Management, Principles etc. 

After you clear the Mains, you will be short listed to have a Personal interview. It will be 275 marks.

The purpose of this interview is to find out if you are Mentally Alert, have Moral Integrity, Leadership Skills etc..

things you will need if you are going to make important decisions for the country.  At the end of these 3 phases, the final position will be adjusted based on the 2025 mark and after the cut  Off you will be on your way to becoming an IAS, IFS, IPS Officer ...

Hint that you are just starting out, 10-12 months of early preparation is usually advised.
which means that when you apply for Phase 1: Prelims in June 2021 then you should have already begun your preparations by August 2020.

But to include such a person ... so don't worry because there are students who pass the exam for 5-6 months of preparation because not only is there a lot of quantity time but the quality of time matters too.

Registration Fee for Prelims is Rs. 100/- and for Mains, it's Rs. 200/- and this fees is also exempted in some cases.

For people who want to choose teaching centers, it can cost somewhere between 1.5 - 2 Lakh INR.

But as every student does not choose to tell you .. it costs more than money. It will cost you your effort, the opportunities you allow, your intellectual capital, but more importantly, preparing for IAS costs you something very cheap and that .. your time.

The Junior  IAS officer's salary may be around 60,000 INR a month but it comes with many areas such as HRA, Travel Allowance and more.

When you become Senior IAS Officer, it can be around 2,5 Lakhs per month or more.
So how can you make sure you break this prestigious exam?

If you want to crack the IAS exam, you must do the following three things ... 

1. Watch, Read and breathe news.  

If you want to clear the IAS test, you'll need to keep your current Affairs on mind! Also, reading the newspaper will improve your communication skills that will give you more confidence in the interview.  

2. Keep your mobile phone away.  

 While preparing for IAS, the only thing that will save your ass is Time-Management. And the biggest enemy of that is your mobile phone.  You think you'll only spend 5 minutes on Social Media but we all know how that ends. 

And # 3 ... Relax.  

While preparing your time table, save enough time to practice and sleep.  Because a healthy body will have a healthy mind. So that was all about how to become an IAS Officer.

Conclusion

Look, the road to becoming an IAS officer is difficult. It's full of hard work, dedication ...

the truth but nobody tells you it's boring and because while your friends move on and start leading you on the other side they are left alone to prepare. for a year or more and that can be done for many people.
